There will be 9 two-day rounds and 8 one-day rounds, with each club playing all other clubs during the season. All grades will play on all scheduled days and, for the first time in 80 years, no play has been scheduled for Melbourne Cup Day.
There will be one overall ladder throughout the season, with a separate one-day ladder maintained. A Final 8 will operate for both One-Day and Two-Day Finals.
The One-Day program comprises 7 Saturdays and 1 Sunday, the Two-Day program 15 Saturdays and 3 Sundays, an overall total of 26 playing days plus finals.
